STORIES OF UNITY

Schools, Workplaces and Communities Join the Movement

The Black Ribbon Campaign is designed to move beyond individual participation. Schools can use age-appropriate discussion and assembly materials. Workplaces can use ready-to-share messages and voluntary Wear Black reminders. Community groups can organize local events, pledge drives and ribbon distribution.

Every setting is different, so participation should be respectful, voluntary and consistent with local policies, accessibility needs and safety requirements. The Campaign Toolkit provides printable posters, social graphics, school materials, workplace messages and brand assets to help organizers communicate clearly.

When local action connects to a shared national message, a small symbol can help people start bigger conversations about respect, inclusion and how we treat one another.
