BLACK RIBBON CAMPAIGN

Conditions générales

Conditions générales

Effective date: August 24, 2026

These terms apply to use of the Black Ribbon Campaign website and campaign services. By submitting a form, creating an account, placing an order, registering for an event, contributing, volunteering, applying for a campaign role, or otherwise using the site, you agree to these terms and the published Privacy Policy.

Campaign purpose

The Black Ribbon Campaign is a public-awareness campaign promoting unity and strength in the fight against racism and intolerance. Participation is voluntary. Wearing a ribbon, taking a pledge or attending an activity does not create an employment, agency, charitable-donation or professional relationship with the campaign.

Accounts and accurate information

You are responsible for providing accurate information and protecting your account credentials. The campaign may suspend or remove accounts, public profiles, applications, listings or submissions that are fraudulent, abusive, misleading, unlawful, discriminatory, threatening, infringing, or inconsistent with campaign safety and integrity.

Orders, payments and contributions

Prices are shown in the currency displayed on the website. E-Transfer, cash and debit/credit payment options are subject to availability and confirmation. Physical ribbon orders are subject to inventory. A submitted order is not considered fully paid until the applicable payment is confirmed. Campaign contributions, sponsorships and similar payments are not charitable donations and do not generate charitable tax receipts unless the website expressly states otherwise.

Events and local activities

Event details may change because of weather, venue requirements, safety, capacity or organizer decisions. Local chapters, Ambassadors, volunteers and participating organizations must follow campaign policies and applicable laws, venue rules and safety requirements.

Content, photos and submissions

You retain ownership of content you submit. When you expressly authorize publication, you grant the Black Ribbon Campaign a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to display, reproduce and share the approved content for campaign communications, reporting and promotion. You represent that you have the right to submit the content and any required permissions for identifiable people shown in it.

Campaign materials and trademarks

Campaign logos, graphics, documents and toolkit materials may be used to support the Black Ribbon Campaign in a manner consistent with the published brand guidance. They may not be altered or used in a way that falsely implies endorsement, misrepresents the campaign, promotes hate or discrimination, or creates a confusing commercial identity.

Website availability

The campaign works to keep the website accurate and available but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may be changed, suspended or updated for maintenance, security, legal compliance or campaign operations.

Limitation and responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, the campaign is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the website, third-party services, local event changes, or unauthorized use of campaign materials. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Ontario, Canada, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.
